The last viewer which I have (3.3.1 (254524)) does not like to activate search function. How to do it?

Iam running Windows Xp on my PC. Dowloaded the new version of the Viewer but was not able to install it- a message poped out: 'Can not read a file ... a few files can not be read...I suppose libraries.. can any one help me? Thank you.
