sadly didn't fix the problem. unplugged the cable from my desktop and plugged it back in after 10 seconds, nothing. reset my modem, nothing.

When I run SL on my desktop, I have a weird connection problem where it seems to cut out my internet every 5-20 seconds, anything running in the background(if there is anything) loses connection immediately, and the game acts as though I lost connection briefly. each of these "disconnects" last about 5-10 seconds before everything works again, up until the next one. I can run the game fine on my laptop, running off the same router with a wireless connection, while I have a direct connection to my desktop.
