Well for those of us who actually pay for premium access to Second Life, an answer to the question as how long could be better than: I'm afraid not. It takes as long as it takes and the Linden Lab Quality Assurance team is satisfied with the maintenance activitiesetter than, I understand updates need to be done; but people should be given a timeframe as to when they 'expect' things to be back to normal instead of being so vague..... I am sure everyone trying to get access ever few minutes is not helpful either.
