I just created an SL account a couple of days ago. I can't get it to work. Most 'scripted' objects do nothing when I click on them. I can't edit or view my profile, at all. Rendering is generally slow. Most importantly, I can't go anywhere, because every time I try to teleport, I get the "Darn. You have been logged out of SL. Oh, well. Go play something else..." message. (Message not verbatim). I have checked my lag - there is none. No packet loss. I have raised AND lowered my bandwidth. I have lowered graphics. I have emptied the cache. There's no firewall, and I have a very fast connection. 11.52 Mbps DL, 1.48 Mbps UL. I'm running a brand new 3.06 GHz Intel Core i3 Mac running OS 10.6.8. Does anyone have any ideas?? ** My speedtest results are good: http://www.speedtest.net/result/1374416990.png Here's where I tested to the San Francisco server: http://www.speedtest.net/result/1374418211.png I'm using a hardwired RJ-45, no wireless, no router - I have AT&T U-Verse, so there is just a "Gateway". I restarted everything, to no avail. Also, I'm not running any scripts or anything - I don't even have anything but the preloaded stuff in my inventory. I tried renaming the settings file, as well. AT&T is notorious for capping bandwidth and all kinds of wackiness, so I suppose it could have something to do with them.
