Are there any firewall settings needed to support second life?

I upgraded networks going from 1.5M to 20+M on Cox.net high speed. Second Life was slow on the old system, ... but it worked. Now on the new COX network Wired or Wireless it no longer works. It is possible I need to open a Port in the firewall or have a router setting (NETGEAR) that might be incorrect? Everything else on the COX network seems to work great.
