Thx for your suggestions, but they aren't the issue.

... I just discovered when having to ctrl alt del that the ui and window content is there, it then appears and even stays if I close down task manager, but is not clickable in any way. Anyone an idea how I can fix this?

Since a while I can't use the SL Viewer or Firestorm, they both are completely blank when I open them, no UI at all even and no error message. The startup is normal, detecting hardware and such ... but then just an empty application window. Have reinstalled several times, deleted local and roaming, even used revo uninstaller ... nothing get's me on the way again. One viewer does still work though: singularity, but that one doesn't have a UI to my taste. Any help and or suggestions are more then welcome.
