  1. Hi there Case Hammerthall inworld, I'm interested. I'm usually here around 1pm slt
  2. had it unplugged for almost eight hours one day... I've considered it, but since the other pc in the house is going just fine. Sadly, it isn't my isp, that would be an easy fix, I wish. -sighs-
  3. oh, also was told to send in a scan of my DL or passport, did, then was told, "well that wasn't necessary, that isn't the issue, you're system isn't banned or even flagged" -sighs-
  4. Ok, here's what's happening and what I've done to try and fix this issue..... In the middle of the night my avatar was booted from the client. This isn't too odd, and so I attempted to log back in the following morning thinking little of it. I got this particular, fairly popular error: login failure.... second life cannot be accessed from this computer. Now, please... move you brain pans AWAY from the typical responses. This is not a ban, as confirmed by second life tech support... I have nothing on my account, no flags, nothing. Infact the support people are a little baffled, and thus my ticket has been expedited. I don't believe in waiting on them, idle hands isn't my thing, so I'm asking this brilliant community for possible solutions. Before you list any solution that is common sense please read this list of trouble shooting steps I've taken.... filled out a help ticket talked with live chat reset my modem, router tested another computer on this network -logs in fine, but is a pos- enabled access on all listed tcp and such ports as per the wiki instructions uninstalled/reinstalled all clients of second life -to include third party and chat based clients- turned OFF my firewalls, all of them, just to test that end Literally none of this has worked. I am operating a dell e520 with upgrades, windows 7, this is a fairly new settup. I should also note this exact pc, though new-ish to me, was running second life perfectly for over a week. HELP, cause I'm going crazy trying to figure this out. much love -salutes- ..
  5. and second life has all of my hardware information, ip address and the like, and they see no issues

  7. Funny thing is that on the support history it shows my account on hold, when I call they say it isn't...
  8. yeah, unplugged the network and modem and router and everything for four hours... after a few shorter interval tries I do have a satalite connection. Maybe it takes longer. Thing is I can log on from other computers, so it can't be an ip ban, cause other pcs are able to log on the same network.
  9. I am at witts end running new windows 7 so maybe update was logged out over night, couldn't log in in the morning, account is clear reset everything, restore point done, uninstalled properly, reinstalled, still no good customer service is puzzled so am I, and I'm getting frustrated. Is there any reason why my pc would suddenly stop letting me use second life. Tried all clients, including third party Added: Other computers on same ip can log in. Customer Service says account is clear and they see no reason why this should be happening. Sent help ticket, trying to get live support to respond... still at witts end. Thanks for the read
  10. and been on live chat for over an hour... with only a "hey" to show for it -.-
  11. ah, glad I found this First I'm running a rebuilt dell e520 with alot of upgrades Was running sl just fine, went to bed and left my toon to cuddle another in sl was booted over night that isn't uncommon so I logged back in got the same exact error "second life cannot be accessed from this computer" I'm far from a noob idiot, I've researched this for days.... reset everything possible went back to a previous restore point -thinking a windows 7 update screwed me since this is a brand new settup for me- uninstalled EVERY CLIENT as per the wiki instructions reinstalled According to tech support I have no issues with my account So this is possibly and probably computer based. Three days and same error. Light shedding would be great!
  12. new to these forums I have an error, second life cannot be accessed from this computer I'm not a noob I would like to post details to see if any other users had this same computer based issue with windows 7, so where is the appropriate place to post this for discussion?
