Kestrel Sorrowsong

I'm using the latest Firestorm. I am often in a noisy room and do not want to have voice enabled to speak but want to listen to others and reply in text. THis is most offen when taking classes in sl where the instructor uses voice to teach but the students do not have to have voice to respond. How do I do this and is there anywhere I can test it to make sure it works. Thank you!

Thank you Jacki...I really appreciate this. I have worked through the first couple, and now people say they can see me just fine. Good info and very informative and technical but not at all hard to understand.

People see me as a cloud, but I see me normally. Can someone tell me how to fix this? What is causing it? How can I tell how my avi appears to others when she looks correct to me? thank you!
