I feel like talking about a small town sim. I've been to alot of place in SL in my years here. The best places I enjoy going to are the ones that have a small town vibe to them. Might be because in real life I have gone to alot of small towns. Who knows =). Any ways, I think there should be more of them around. Be great friendly places to go to. Great community can be built on it to make it more enjoyable like with anything else. I would like to hear what others think about this kind of theme for a sim.

Sean Thanks for all that information Sean. I did read the whole post. I have thought about what I want to rent. I am going to start small with a 1/4 sim from a renter. Just to start small and grow if it has the potential. iCade I have been writing down thoughts and ideas about how to make a small amount back. I do know I am wanting to make a RP sim. My theme is going to be something of interest to me. I did some thinking and found I really like the small town feel. This is something I know I will back 100%. The great thing about SL we can make things our selves and there is no better feeling than knowing we can do this. Of course if you get really good at making a particular thing you can sell off your skill for it. I do find that this community has a great amount of users who like to help. I am thankful that so many help and are posting about my topic.

I admit at times I dont read all the guidance once I visit a sim. And feel like I am getting the rubb off when I believe someone who has been a regular gets on to me. In my experiance I get so excited to go visit a place and just want to look around before I do anything else. Now I know better after being on SL for awhile. Experiance is better when you read the notecards they set in the landing area.

Oh I got many things to ask and many more topics to start about this. This thought has been on my mind more offten then others. Making a place grow. Trying to stay on the track to get attion and to get folks to come over. Having a idea, land, and group cant alone make a place grow. Hosting events and other things. Spreading the word to everyone you can.

Ohla everyone! My SL experiance is coming full circle and its the time to think about owning a sim. So lets chat about owning a sim. I like to hear what others have to say. My time here in SL I know about griefers and how folks try to handle it. I also know how much it would cost to buy a whole sim. My absolut favorit theme from a sim I visited was a small town. It felt hommie and great. If I end up making the big leap of faith to owning a sim I know I would want to creat this theme.

Creating hud that will at a push of a button will display avatar coordinate in owner chat. It is currently a non-functioning script. aka it has errors.

I am a novice scripter. The method of having a script in each apple listen when click seems to be logical chocie for me. I have not thought about doing a listen yet and would be a good way to learn the functions of it. This HUD for picking up apples is just for one kind of apple. This is developed to learn about making a hud. I will offer this as a open source when I achieve its goal.

I am going at this again to get some closer. I'm making my first hud. Function I'm achieving is simple. It is a gathering hud of apples. On the hud side I want to be able to update my variable basket each time I pick up a apple. When I pick up a apple I am simply touching the object on the ground named apple. PROBLEM I am not able to update the hud when I gather one apple from the ground. Any suggestions would be welcomed and tried.

Howdy, I am trying to get started into making a small hud where you can throw object back and forth with a friend. Game of catch like we all played when we were young ones. Simple enough I made ball in hand, ball to throw, and hud. I could use suggestions on how to start a script for this. I've looked at gun scripts and they just have the bullets going stright forever and ever. I would want the ball to start to lose momentum. I'm open to suggestions. Be resonabile and not put down.

Howdy, I am in need of a type of mask you would find in Mexican wrestling called Luchadore. If you watch wrestling on tv its the same kind of mask a wrestler wears. Long story short I am wanting my own luchadore mask to wear for my SL wrestling career. If you search Luchador Mask you will see all sorts of colorful masks of different designs. For my mask I like it to be Blue and Black. Eyes, mouth, and nose have a blue outline. I just like to start with a plain mask for now and will see about designs later on. Just like the title says, too much power. Someone gets a little bit of power in a group and they abuse it. Ruin things for everyone else because they cant kick others off. I say these type of people are worse than grifters. They take something the wrong way and assume its a personal attack towards them.

My good budy just told me about Rhapsody and I want to know if you can stream it on SL to share?

My computer is connected to a router then to modem my ISP gave. When I enter my IP, subnet, Gateway staticly I still get booted off the internet. The error tells me after I run troubleshot that the Gateway was unaviable. I just simply get disconnected off the internet. I tried doing ipconfig to get what my computer is using while it is currently on the internet. I coppied it digit by digit to where I enter it manualy. System is up to date. I can get back on the internet in about 5 min or less. Its getting annoying having to keep runing the same troubleshoot with the same problem. EDIT If you need any other info let me know. I will help the best I can.

I am digging into a mess of my home network. I am runing Windows 7 64 bit. My internet on this computer keeps going off. I get the yeloow icon with the black !. When I check the network map and run the troubleshoot I am good to go. It keeps fixing the same old problem over and over. My suppos prob is my Default Gateway is missing. I set my IP, Subnet mask, and Default Gateway staticly now and it still ends up missing. Any other Window 6 users have the same prob?

Got my own gear with me and hooked up to my PC but no idea how to broadcast it besides Skyping it lol. Looked into Shotcast and didnt seem to be what I am looking for. SAMBROADCASTER too expisieve for me now to buy. I can jam the tunes via microphone in a voice chat but eh I duno. Could use the help to figure this one out.

I am still crashing on SL. I have tried two other viewers and still crash. I cleared my cache and even took down other computers and consoles on my home network. Its getting to the point where I am concern about damaging my computer. I have to turn it off with the power button and end up rebooting in safe mood.

I dont think reinstalling is the answer.

My SL client keeps crashing on me when I am at a sertin area. I had to hard boot my computer 3 times before I could get out. I try End Task with Ctrl + Alt + Del but it just sits there nothing happening. I am running Windows 7 and really not having any other issues with any other games. Its just SL that keeps crashing making me have to hard boot.

Nice blog. I been looking into sports heavily when I came onto SL. I would like to help out in any way. Give me a buzz.
