  1. Hello, I am looking to get into landscaping (more so as a terrain designer) and would like to find a landscaping business interested in taking me under their wing. I am familiar with the terrain tools and usually have many great visions of things that could be done to make unique landscapes. I just lack the funding to do anything beyond terrain manipulation (decor, etc), so hopefully could get behind an already established business as an assistant. Since I do not have a portfolio or experience to show off, I am willing to initially work with you on a project or two for free without pay so that it would be risk free to you. You can contact me in world, Perc.Waco
  2. Yep, that is the one I found in the library.
  3. So I know LSL does not have capability to actually write text onto an object but have noticed things like the contest boards are able to place text like avie names and such on the object. How does one go about doing this?
  4. Thank you. I will chew on these ideas for awhile and go from there. Will see what other ideas others might suggest in the meantime as well, but I do like the login idea. I never thought about being able to detect who sat in a chair. This chair could simply tell the table and hud.
  5. Hello. I have been pulling my hair all day today trying to figure a few things out with a project I have. I'm making game tables (spades, euchre, etc). It will use a hud for the gameplay while the table will just change which cards show up on the table as each player plays them. I'm not 100% familiar with object communication yet but have learned that it is pretty much done on a private channel. That kind of set me back on the way I am looking to approach this. How would I keep each game table seperate in a way that they wouldn't interfere with other nearby tables and players? For example, two spades tables are sitting out nearby with 8 people looking to play a game of spades. 4 of them will go to one table and 4 to another. But how would I allow for the tables to detect who is playing at which table and what private channel commands to listen to? Perhaps one of you may know of an already made script where a hud communicates with an object in world that I could look at for reference? Also another question is with the cards and their textures. How is this approached aside from using a card deck sheet? Do I need to create 52 separate objects as the card deck and preplace the texture sheet on it with whatever offsets and then have the hud rez whichever card objects the player is dealt? Or is this done using some sort of texture replacement? Examples would be very helpful! Thanks in advance.
