I took a trailer via auto-refresh, because I wanted the content pack. Textures are transfer, but things like lamps are no transfer. Rezzing in there, it looked so pretty that I thought: "I never really clicked with trailers, but this was a very nice place". I wanted to test if I could abandon it and grab it with an alt. So I did. It was hanging in Maintenance so long. The alt used up her 10 refreshes at least 4 times = refreshed the page 40 times. It still belonged to Governor Linden. Then she got a camper, and I thought yes, it went well. Just that it was another camper, what do you give me? 😋
I logged her in asap and she abandoned it, but then the first camper was taken. I will never dare to do it again. This camper was not important, but other land could be.
Interesting experiment, but I don't blame you for deciding not to try it with an important parcel.

I am going to release this in 4 minutes, at 3:15 slt. Its a lovely parcel but is more beachy than lakey, so is not really what I am looking for - but someone will absolutely love it!

Oh I should have said it wasn't entirely sheer stupidity making me abandon, I had had an injection in my eye about an hour earlier, so it was part stupidity and part blurred vision. Still sucks though.

Thank you, but this one actually looks out on my lost parcel unfortunately so I may need to let it go, but I'll announce it here if I do. It is a lovely spot but more beachy than lakey too.
Don't give up hope, you will find something just right for you. I am usually hopeless at getting abandons and the Gentle Cove yesterday was the only time I ever got a release as I always get error messages. You will get your dream home, don't give up!

I got it, thank you! Hope it's as nice as it looks, it might make up for my disaster yesterday, got my perfect parcel in Gentle Cove, two sides on lake, but when I was a bit distracted I accidentally abandoned it instead of clicking something else (can't remember what, too traumatised lol). I was not happy!

For me it's not just the plot, I am not keen on beachy areas altogether, I like inland, mountains, lakes etc.

- Sandy plot across street from beach. Claimed at 12:39 PST. Looks like the new person has kept it since. Looks like a good spot if you like sand texture - but I guess the people who like that all want exactly next to beach and not adjacent.
Oh good, I hope they stay there! I think it's a pretty good spot but I want green, not sand.

I do the same, I would feel a total creep if i hung around when the new owner arrives, and hate it when the previous owner hangs around, in fact if they do I tp right out and wait till they've gone before tp'ing back to look at my new house.

I don't care for the rivers and lakes, but others love them. In regions like Sario, Asplin and River Run.
And I love rivers, lakes, mountains and seclusion but dont like ope or beachy. Thank goodness we all like different things!

I had really been waiting for Sario release last week and completely missed it because I had to work. I really liked some of the riverside spots. Last night, about an hour after I let go of my Blackwater Shoals home, I got one! It's so pretty. More like the plots I prefer. Excited to get home tonight and do some more decorating.

Honestly, if someone likes a quiet, private home on a cul de sac with really nicely done landscaping by the Moles, this site will make you very happy. No homes face the back of it at all - there's a street in the back, with high Linden walls and the next region 's home are set back quite a bit, plus there's a little pond on one side. All the neighboring homes are set off at nice angles so none really look into the house directly.
I truly hate to give it up and have been sitting on it for weeks debating if I want to hold onto it or not but finally gave in. I've had a ton of fun decorating this one.
Will hit the abandon button at 3pm SLT.

I moved out and am homeless, it's a beautiful area but the beachy areas are just not what I like and I knew someone else would really love it. Nice to have been your neighbour briefly though!

Good luck! Unfortunately at the moment demand exceeds supply so to avoid disappointment, have realistic expectations and enjoy the search. Don't give up, it can be done.
If you haven't already done so, read this thread which gives lots of helpful tips.
