I'm pretty sure the email I received said that the group was disbanded, but I know it still exists from right clicking on the land and checking the owner.

Thank you both - I certainly didn't see a 24 hour warning, but I have submitted a case, having missed Live Chat by about 5 minutes!

I bought 512 sqm of land from a friend for an art gallery, and deeded it to a group that I set up for the purpose, called "Isle Biedermann Art Group". As the gallery was taking a while to be built, as a freebie from my friend, I had not yet added anyone else to the group, forgetting that a group with only one person in it is disbanded. Now the land is owned by a group with no members. I cannot re-join the group, to invite other members, and nor can I set the land as my home; that is not quite true, as I set it as home when I bought it, but now I log on half buried in the floor, rather than standing on it, as there is now a building where previously there was not. The land in question is: Lastenham (184,112) Adult 1024m. Please advise.

So, we have a Member who says that 'People shouldn't join SO many groups' as though it's a moral question, an Advisor who offers 'Four words of advice... "drop the sex groups"', showing that for him it is a moral question, several people who take it upon themselves to answer for Linden Lab that no change is going to happen, a Recognised Helper and various others who agree wtih the OP that the current limit is too low, a suggestion for increasing the functionality of groups, and a technical reason why it would be difficult for LLto raise the limit. I agree that an increase would be helpful. I also agree that a functionailty improvement would be useful, but not necessarily as an either/or thing, as sometimes it's not just about having thirteen groups to run one sim, but actually about using different shops, clubs, etc, especially if, as the original poster is, you're a jobbing SL DJ. I also see that both those options would create an additional data load for LL, with the later also requiring the generation of new code. However, whilst Moore's law no longer applies, processing power continues to increase, and the general trend for greater capacity, and higher speed, memory and data storage to fall in price has not stopped. If LL had the budget for 42 groups last time they changed the limit, I think they should not have the money for 60, with more roles, and possibly even the additional functionality that others have requested. That's my wish-list, but I don't see it happening soon, if ever. I just hope I'm wrong!

Can anyone please help me? After I crash, and once, even after logging out and in again a while later, I find that I have no access to certain important avatar information. I normally use Phoenix viewer, but that does not appear to be the problem, and I can justify that statement. If I log back in using a different viewer, but the same avi, the problems persist, whereas, if I log in using an alt, but still with Phoenix, I have no problems at all. Except that he only has five friends, no money, few clothes, and looks like a complete noob, whereas my principal avi has had a lot of time and effort put into him, and it shows. Here are the problems I encounter: 1. My buddy list is full of blank spaces: [IMG]http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z310/DavidBrown1964/SL%20problem%20stuff/Postcrashbuddies.jpg[/IMG] Yes, those are my online friends, hence the little "head and shoulders" icon. But if I want to IM someone, I have to open each profile until I find the right one. Lower down the list are the offline ones, same as usual, but, again, they are blank. 2. If I try to TP, I just crash again. Well, OK, the SL scene goes monochrome and freezes, and a message appears in the middle of the screen, informing me that I have been logged out of SL. I didn't get a screen shot of that. 4. I think there must be something about my avi, possibly in the inventory, which is causing this problem. Please can anyone suggest the cause of it, and how to solve it?
