FD Spark

My first alt joined in 2003 in beta and had similar issues with his computer. Seriously my usb stick has more hard drive gb space then that computer I had in beta and it was kbs. I took long break recently and I have bit of time still myself. Feel free to message me here or look for me in world if you know how.

The thing is I don't even have Safari installed on my computer I figured it was thing about MOAP. I hadn't thought about settings actually Lindal. How do you get them set right so MOAP responds and is read as java enable i.e., firefox or chrome instead of Safari? My current settings under use my browser i.e, firefox,safari are all checked and I have it set for install automatically. But Youtube and other java based programs still read that MOAP is browser program with no java, out to date version of Safari which I don't own. I would like to continue to use MOAP to watch youtube videos in world, heck I would like my avatar to be able use ratemydrawings graphic tools and actually be able to save the file without losing it.

Yeah it works fine now but that is not the point and your answer is actually not helpful nor what I was asking. Its not going to be supported long. Certain features I want to use it for I have limited ablity because I don't know how to fix the code so it would allow MOAP to work like it should work. Have you ever even used MOAP recently? It says on top of screen in their message warning Youtube is soon going to no longer support Safari. That what it sees when you use MOAP on Youtube. I like not having to use another window when I am in world and I just discovered this feature and no one updated it in over three years and I am worried I am not watch videos on youtube while in my house. I use Youtube and certain features with MOAP that I really like and want to continue using which unless there is another way I am no longer to be able to use it. If I am going to have to open another window, I might as well close SL viewer too. The point of having or using MOAP was so that I could do things in world not have to go another screen so no you have not answered my question or help with issue I want to figure out how to deal with. It doesn't work fine if I can't use it way I want and continue to use it way I want. Its great feature but there like no support or updating at all for it and soon we aren't going have that feature because someone decided to build it into Safari. I am shocked no one done anything more to improve or better it in over 5 years. Five years ago my computer couldn't handle it now it can I get over 40 fps using it and the feature I would like to continue using is soon no longer going to be functional. I see creative things I could do with to animate in world objects plus enternatinment of sharing films and learning programs in world. And its soon probably disable because there is no java support for it. What I asked is there away to do work around to use the MOAP feature into something that is better? Why hasn't anyone done it.

I doubt I will get any technical person via Linden Lab to answer this but maybe someone who has the know how can point me to right direction. I just figured out how to use Media on a prim but I have noticed there is messaging saying that the Safari browser i.e the thing MOAP uses to view youtube, surf web is going to no longer be supported to please upgrade. Is there any way to use the feature media in a prim and update it via some type of script or something that a non-technical/non-programer can use? Like some way to get media on a prim to use my up to date browser not Safari? Because someone censored my response too. I add I am not on Safari, I don't own Safari. I have all the permissions selected. None of the responses are answering me why youtube says moap is Safari is on soon to be unsupported browser. And how to update so I can continue to use moap. I am really upset about this. I like this feature.

I am still learning. I mainly doing meshes via photoshop and avpaint right now because I can't figure out how do it in blender. I haven't figured out how to do obj or dae though within avpaint. I have been reading and watching whole lot of videos but I am still running into some major issues. I have been around for long time as you know Czari Zenovka but I still really struggle. I had really hard and still do with sculpties. Any way going to login and friend you Czari Zenovka and send you a copy of my hat. I am also working on "mute" hat too but I had some major technical difficulties. I think I can upload the texture for the hat so I don't have to spend another 345 for the hat. I promise the hat won't be size of a house. It was actually pretty easy to make once I figured out where things were in 3D window in Photoshop. It was one of the preset shapes. Still trying to figure out how make other shapes in Photoshop

Dres, That is interesting I didn't know about local texture testing. It seems bit complicated at the moment with my brain being all unrezzed. It would handy. I ended up spending over 345L for mesh upload accidentally earlier today not counting the texture I made because I don't how to bake it:(

The Petites are very cute. Its amazing what SL residents come up with. No my guy was tiny transparent image on very tiny cube. I made my first mesh today it was hat. I finally figured out how to paint 3D objects in Photoshop CC. But I don't know rotate the object so it had weird line plus I messed up and I end up spending way too much for hat that was size of a small house so now I am close broke. LOL I am really struggling with trying to figure out how to open dae files in Blender and navigate it. I am thinking about Kitely, I can't afford uploads and space I need to build here.

Not sure what even a Petite is. That image of my avatar from back when I made the orginal outfit on transparent cube. But I kept thinking about human figure 3d shape which is similar place I made few months back in photoshop and whether I could put that guy on a dae file maniplate him like a puppet in his doll house. I am still struggling figure out how to struggling how texture map dae, skins, and prims in ways I want with the budget I have. I just added brown to outfit but thanks for reminding me I am going to work out the outfit this week See what I can come up with. I will send you copy when I do in world.

BTW your ears in your red avatar is great. I wish I could do ears as well.

The lines I figure out have to do with color difference. I still can't get it right yet though:( I have had pointy ears off and on for 8 years. Its still in the system so its still option so I wear them. I have no clue about system changes and avatar/content making other than what I do for been doing for fun because I have taken few years off, I would like to improve though but its always been struggle for me with skins.

I had to remove the curly hair it looked really bad this is from a photo of myself plus I used Robin Wood's SL Avatar Head VSmart template for head plus few of the items from the sl skin shaders in the program folder on my hard drive. I got inspired after listening/watching the hour long video on youtube from How to make Second Life Skin with Photoshop By Quark Yifu Quark had some ideas I hadn't ever thought of that I try out but still not sure what I am doing wrong.

I forgot exactly where the template is but since I have acquired more. But it was a template from Second Life. Its the one that has four ear locations.

The above image was what I was trying to do but sort of failed. I was trying to map my rl face on avatar sort of messed up in drawing lab but I don't think I ever seen in last 10 years 4 ear avatar until this accident. Finally figured it out last night almost was done but I forgot final save and update. All my worked vanished I will try again after effecient two day nap. LOL

Oh yeah I remember the ever so exclusive "mute the world" wear. You're one of few that owns a copy.. Check my post writing and you'll find even more excluse and rare hairy 4 ear avatar skin. LOL

I am glad I found this thread. I have wonder about sizes. What is consider standard in SL? It always seems most people are giants

I have been around for long time and seen, experienced various things relating to SL. I got its not that easy even you got talent and creativity. I have recalled in past that there have several spiritual based communities that had discussions, workshops on various topics. Big part you sort of need place to meet and I don't know how much these people make in donations. I don't know, I know I didn't have whole lot when I go to new agey meditation group and their discussion group for a while there.

I saw a video on this program with blender and avastar I was curious if anyone posted anything about this. Thanks all who posted on this. Its was interesting to watch the Marvelous Designer in action but it cost 20 to 50 dollars a month or up to 3000 if you get perputal liscense, This video the heading is bit misleading because it never shows all the steps it shows making the clothes within Marvelous designer. http://youtu.be/p09rj6oOPi4 This tutorial is tiny bit more complete but you need avastar and blender and know how to use it. I don't yet.

At this point I can't even figure out how to open a dae or obj file and actually use blender. Maybe when I figure out how to actually use blender without wanting to rip what little is left of my hair and I will check out Avastar, I spent several hours trying last night to do something and I couldn't get even files I wanted open in wings 3d. Tried it in Blender and I think I got file to open but I couldn't figure out how to navigate there. Need read and watch more videos, practice more too I guess. Plus I got to figure out this whole avatar bone thing. Thanks for the help.

Optimum Actor Thanks for starting the thread. I really appreciate it. It gave me opportunity to learn few thing plus Neal helped me some. I am not sure if I am totally able to do meshes but I did do some with Neal's guidance. Problem with my textures is its hit miss. I did entire 1 prim house where I texture inside and outside but it really looks really weird. The texture paintings look all pixelated. My friends are all harping I should do meshes... I have mesh envy but really frusterated with the 3D program attempts I have tried. But let me share what I did do right today. Its not mesh yet. Its second version of my face.

Oh btw here is what I am currently doing but no clue how to do transfer it to mesh and the middle not finished. Still trying to figure it out. This is my real face based on photo of side of view of myself with illustrations. I don't have really good photos I can use for this except side view.

Yeah I am still struggling but I feel like I made dent today. I don't know. Then I tried to do my avatar with obj mesh file I found on sl and hit bunch of walls. But I sent you a several files of progress I made with skirt. Made few mistakes though. Thanks for your help NealCrz. I bought mesh studio and new book for Blender last month but still struggling with it. Downloaded wings3d too but that all major pain I haven't tried truespace yet. I really can't spend anything more until I get handle what I can. Plus I really need make more money before I start investing in more expensive stuff. It just doesn't seem reasonable for me spend more on something I am going struggle and not be proficient at. I spent last 5 years working on my illustration skills on 2d level. I just wish I could translate that to 3D.
