    We have one DJ spot left, Friday mornings 10am - 12pm SLT

     

    We have 5 Host spots left:

    Mondays 8-10pm

    Tuesdays 10am-12pm and 12-2pm

    Fridays 12-2pm and 8-10pm

    (All times SLT)

     

    DJs and Hosts keep 100% of their tips!  The club does not put out a donation jar for itself, nor take any money, all funds go to the staff.

    We are a fun, laid back club where our top rule is "be decent to each other" and we all work as a team to make the club better and better.  We are newbie friendly and have a Newbie Center next door.  We are located in Serenity City where there are many free activities open to everyone.  The sim is Moderate, all adult avatars are welcome, no child avatars.

    We have periodic DJ and Host training sessions and we're happy to help you learn!

    DJ Boot Camp

    Everyone is welcome!  New DJs, experienced DJs, people who have never been a DJ before but are curious, everyone!  We also welcome any club owners that want to join us and let people know that they're hiring.

    What is DJ Boot Camp?
    DJ Boot Camp is a joint effort being presented by two experienced DJs.  We will teach you all of the technical things that are needed to stream music into Second Life and work as a DJ at any club.  All you need for the class is to show up and bring your enthusiasm!

    We will discuss the following topics:

    Which software to use to connect to a stream and play your music inside Second Life. We will focus primarily on the Mixxx program due to familiarity but may discuss others as well.

    Where to find a stream provider inside Second Life and how to set up that stream with your DJ software.  

    Where to get music and how to build your music library - because a DJ is only as good as the music they play.

    After the class, for those who are interested, we will also cover how to manage voiceovers during sets.

    We're just teaching the basics, so that people will be able to work at any club after this and be able to customize their training to work within the club's rules.

    And, we're hiring! So anyone who finishes the course is welcome to put in an application at the same time.

    We're just teaching the basics, so that people will be able to work at any club after this and be able to customize their training to work within the club's rules.

    And, we're hiring! So anyone who finishes the course is welcome to put in an application at the same time.

    Serenity City Newbie Center - GRAND OPENING

    Serenity City is proud to announce the newest addition, our brand new Newbie Center!

    We are having our GRAND OPENING on Sunday February 23rd, from 10am all the way to 10pm SLT!  We will have live DJs and Hosts entertaining you all day long and contests to win some lindens! 

    Our Newbie Center is designed to be a friendly and helpful place for new avatars to come and learn how to get around in Second Life, as well as meet other newbies and experienced residents who will be happy to help with any questions.

    We have 4 Tutorial spaces with lessons that anyone can use at any time to learn the basics, and a large classroom space where live classes can be taught.  We welcome any instructors who want to come and teach a class on topics that new players would need.

    Everything at the Newbie Center is FREE.  We also have landmarks to places which give out freebies, and we welcome any content creator that wants to put out free things for newbies and advertise their store.

    We also have a bunk room for homeless avatars, and private changing rooms for those that need a quiet space to work on their avatar or clothing.

    We have a full city with all kinds of activities, all of them FREE to do. We also have a couple of shops to browse around in, and a fantastic dance club.

    Midnight Mania/Midnight Madness Boards are now against Skilled Gaming Policy?

    The reason it was returned is the MM board was locked to group only and you had to pay to get into the group. Thus making it a pay to play game, falling under the gambling laws of the states in which you must report it as earned income. Not making this stuff up, look it up. If you have to pay in order to get a chance at winning something it falls under gambling laws. Want your MM boards to be left alone? Don't make them group locked if your group requires people to pay in order to get into it. 

    Note, this also means that someone complained, or that your store had a Linden walking around it and found it that way, most likely that first one.
