How am I controlling their Sl, they have have their own cyber existence certainly but they have no absolute right to see me? I am trying to control MY SL by removing myself from the vision of those who wish me malice, SL is a fantasy world where that should be possible as long as I cause no harm or grief.

it was a vocabulary hint not a grammar lesson (vocabulary is about words and grammar is about how to use them) & whilst you may have intended to use the word that way it made no sense in the way that you used it. *smiles

why would you imagine that? And the word that you do not know is "moot", mute is what I do to rude & abusive people when they have clearly been rude & abusive

I find it interesting that there are so many people on here supporting the idea that rude and abusive people should still be allowed to see any avi that they want despite having been rude or abusive to that avi. In rl there would be court orders preventing proximity so what is the harm in the easy option of stopping their avi seeing another avi Derender should mean that I am derendered in their life too

nope, you are still not providing a reason why I can't banish them from my online existence Arranging so an avi can be blocked from seeing another avi should be a simple thing for LL, only seen one valid reason why it should not happen so far

perhaps that should change then, it is a fantasy world & we each have our own life there so cutting others out of it would be a good thing?

of course there are those who do not possess the sense of humour to see a tongue-in-cheek profile.... Yes I believe in everyone's absolute right in sl to hide their avi from anyone who has been rude or abusive towards them, why wouldn't you? It's my avi so they can see anyone they please except me - like blocking abusers from my rl phone & email or from getting within a mile of me. I do not understand why anyone would have an issue with that, I am not interfering with their life just with their ability to interact with me What would really not be cool is if you had personal concerns about people blocking you.

I have no problem with that at all, they can want but why should they have if I dont want it as well

Because it is what I want, I want them gone from my fantasy life. I want many things - the why is not the point, the point is that I would like to do it & do not see why I cannot (excepting MM's reasoning above)

why in a fantasy world should I not be able to control who sees me? I dance in Sl & do not want rude people seeing my avi if I have blocked them, they can look at everyone else

there should be, if I dont want someone in my world I should be able to totally block them

If I mute & derender (as I do sometimes) idiots on sl I cannot see or hear them but I do not wish them to see me or be part of my sl, is there anything I can do to stop them seeing my avi?

Thank you all, updating my viewer (Cool) seems to have cured the issue but all the suggestions have given me valuable information for the future & it is lovely to know that patient support is here in times of trouble. HUGS!!! Tati

hi everyone My avi will not rezz & when I went to character test & tried to default to a "ruth" it said the GND eyebrow shaper & eyes were missing. Can anyone help a non geek poledancer to find herself again please? Thank you Tati
