  1. I made my account in Sagamihara Japan 12 years and 5 months ago. I had to pay for my account.
  2. Yea I guess the gentle act of sex is considered "dirty" but it is alright to pretent to kill people. War and killing on a mass scale is "acceptable", yea sure. As a soldier I think we have it backwards.
  3. In the end it will not matter what we want. No clever argument is going to change the mind of Linden Labs. My guess id Disney is going to buy SL and all "adult" content will be banned. Yes Second Life a place for children to learn and grow. Spits on the ground. Then without fanfair in the near future Second Life will be shut down as unprofitable. The lenecy of SL will be many new communities spread out accross the world. Sl was a pioneer but it will never be a service all can use or want to use. They would be better off selling and supporting the application program.
  4. IP is someone elses problem, I am not a thief but also not a content creator. It is not my worry and it is not my job to enforce IP law. Everything is political these days but there are neoprudes on both sides of the isle. About prosucuting someone for letting them see their naked cartoon character engaged in an apparant sex act with another cartoon character, get a life! There is lots of the real thing out there to view. I spent an half hour and brother there is a good selection. There is one concern of mine, minors can not enter binding legal contracts. About the kiddies, well they have to be careful, just like the rest of us.
  5. Cabbage Acanthus it is not as easy as you make it out. Will someone be able to file charges on a person in another country? I doubt that Japan will extridite one of their Nationals for such. Question would not California law apply since that is where the servers are located? Mississipi can take a flying frack as far as I am concerned, crummy neocons!
  6. Second Life sex is not sex it is nasty talking at worse. Like the old phone sex of years gone by. About the Linden TOS, Linden Labs is only a company and not an governmant. About the safety of teens, adults are out there in the real world. Second Life is only one other means to contact them. All of this worry about sexual perverts is making yet another fracture in the community. Studies have shown the vast majority of such comes from family or close family members. A better solution would be more education of children about what is correct contact with an adult.
  7. Well like anything we will just have to make the best of it.
  8. It is not "expensive" to me but it seems like a waste of money.
  9. Jami Price, I tend to agree with you on some thing though disagree with you about the "cyber sex" part. There is a large group of users that have only one thing in their tiny very small minds. If I had a buck for every time I was asked for cyber sex would go out and buy that new premium car. What is funny is avtar "nudity", gee in real life there are places where all ages get toughter naked. So a teen sees my nated avatar. Big deal, lots of people have seen my naked real life body including kids. It is not an issue. Oh welcome to the "adult" grid! It has been a Zoo for all of the 5 plus years. About teens on the grid well they are here and there is nothing we can do about it. So be careful who you want to have one hand sessions with! Maybe the kids might increase the maturity standards of second life. Oh for you content makers and copybots, etc. It is not my problem,
  10. Boobies? You must mean female breasts. I do not understand modern culture. So it is ok for the kiddies to pretend to kill and maim but the sight of a naked breast is obsene, very strange.
  11. These are cartoon characters and in the United States not considered porn or public nudity. What is even better Second Life is not the public and even in America there are places to do naked. The reason they made a new continent is they do not want one half of the community to leave. It might even be more. If LL disneyies Sl I am so out of here!
  12. Putting teens on Second Life will not do a lot for pedophiles. There are plenty of places on the internet where they can meet now. The only difference with SL is they can see cartoon characters. Portraing children having sex by the way is not illegal in the United States. I myself could care less about the EU . Mind you it does nothing for me, I just want to gett the record straight. http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/18/usc_sec_18_00002256----000-.html I do not see any solution possible for the protection of children with the exception of parents controlling acess of the internet for their children. Parents are responsible for their childrens conduct, it is time they are held accountable. It is not my job to babysit children on the net.
  13. I must of missed it, where does he state this? Anyway once they pull the plug on "adult" content, I am pulling the plug on my second life envolvement. Soon it will be Second Life, a place for children to learn and grow. These days everything is about the children.
  14. Have 17 year olds in my Army Reserve unit and they act a lot more "mature" than the "adults" I work with. Maybe it will not be so bad.
