Google has stopped free service to all translators in secondlife - they insist on outrageous payments for their service now (payments that 80% of the inworld residents needing translators can not afford). Without translators to let individuals speak to someone in English (or any other language) the residents inworld are totally crippled and will be leaving the game if the problem is not corrected. All current translators used in SL (including the expensive X-Lang service) are all based on the Google translations. Without a translator provided by LL that can replace the ones currently in use, there will be a massive departure of the Hungarian, Spanish, French, German, and many other cultural groups currently living happily in SL. This issue effects me personally because my life partner is Hungarian and does not speak very much English (I am American). At present communication with the man i love is often impossible and we must leave SL in frustration.
