For two days now when I go to checkout there is a message that they are away and checking problem and will be right back.

Hell MsDel and welcome to SL Forums. No problem for me so far. Marketplace works. Clear your browser's cache under Menu Tools --> Internet options and see if that makes any difference. If no, try a different browser. If the problem remains submit a ticket --> Marketplace --> General Marketplace issues. Report the problem there, include the error message(s) you get and wait for a reply.
