ON my profile page friend list what do the blue names mean?

Hello Tim. If you mean on your dashboard, friends with blue ( ?? i think they are green) letters are able to locate you on the map. If you don't your friends or some of them to have this permission you can disable it opening their profiles --> settings --> permissions --> disable "See me on map" --> Save.
