Hi,

I had the previous version of Phoenix running on my machine. I updated and within a few hours of using it found my system to be running slower and slower. My system then locked up causing me to have to do a hard crash. When I logged back it was to a diskcheck. Which is fine except it can't complete. An unspecified error has occured is the message I get.

I hard crashed yet again and restarted, this time bypassing the diskcheck and searching for the problem manually. I found it in my phoenix folder. The texturecache file is corrupted. I uninstalled Phoenix and tried but couldn't delete the file or folder.

Next I tried logging into windows in safe mode. It prevents that also.

I've just tried running a repair on windows and thats also not working.

This corrupted file is stopping any attempts to do much of anything to repair or get rid of it.

Shy of reinstalling windows, which would be a major disaster, I'm at a loss what to do.

Help!! Anyone have any suggestions at all?
