Do I just give up?

Hi guys.. I am only just discovering SL. My issue is, my Toshiba A300 running vista business will not under any circumstances allow me to log in. I get the webkit error, then a DNS error. My XP machine works fine, however has no graphics card and is unplayable due to the lag in video. I have tried everything to run it on my Vista machine, but to no avail. Should I just give up and wait for my Dell XPS15z to arrive? It has windows 7 premium with 2gb nvidia graphics card. Any help would be awesome

I have seen solutions to both webkit errors and DNS errors, but I don't think they apply t o you. Here they are:

If you dont get a good solution from your post here and  you will get your new machine in a week or so, I think it would be best to wait.
