when ever I buy something its just a box with the picture of that item. What happened?

Like I said I'm new to this game and my person was ugly and not like the avatar I picked at all, I went to buy free things and everything I bought was just some picture she was holding. :matte-motes-crying:

You have to open the boxes to wear the items.

Right click it, choose "open" from the list then click it.

You might wish to search for a beginner tutorial. Click the search button at the bottom of your UI (users interface) that box that surrounds the image then just type in beginner tutorial, choose one, then telephoto there. In a few weeks or so go back there and do it again.

Btw, SL is not a game.
