SecondLife FPS problems. Need help.

Alright so, this started happening yesterday. Whenever I log in on ANY viewer I get the same results. Nothing will load, grey everywhere, FPS is so low that I'm basically playing in slideshows, so I absolutely cannot do anything.

 

I've tried clearing my cache plenty of time, but the thing is, I can run every other game just fine (On higher graphics, no less) except SL and this happened just randomly one day. I've been able to handle SL just fine. For the past few days though before any of this happened I have been experiancing some drops in FPS randomly.

 

I'm running a virus scan and defragging right now but any information on what I should do would be great because I absolutely have no idea what to do from this point.

Can you post your computer specs, such as CPU, RAM, and graphics card? Also, what kind of antivirus software do you use? Does it have some sort of real-time file system protection that permanently runs in the background?

ETA: Have you checked for clogged fans and ventilation slots? It might be a heat-related problem.

Get rid of all viewers and do a search manually,get rid of all sl and other viewer stuff.Start from fresh and do a clean instal. That should fix it.

i have the exact same problem. I've tried everything but windows reinstal and no change..  just like you said. From one day to another. FPS got low.. I appresiate every help.
