Viewer 2.8.0 is glitch - it keeps sending error reports and then it stalls out on me?

I just downloaded a update for secondlife veiwer 2.8.0 and it was working fin before I downloaded the update now secondlife won't even load it keeps crashing every time I launch it on my Windows 7 machine. I tried to install it and reinstall it but to little or no effect I still got the same problems. It keeps sending an error report to the server then stalls out and crashes, before I even get a a change to get to the login screen. Just thought I should let other's know about this potential software glitch.
