Luxette Maximus
Hi! I've got a query about dealing with materials while texturing mesh objects (specifically bodies). Is it possible to adjust the materials (like the specular properties) for specific parts of the body? Also, is there a method to apply "alpha" to make parts of it transparent (as to not apply the material)? I'm not sure if I'm explaining this well, but I'm trying to figure out how to remove or make the clothing material invisible on a specific part on a mesh body. Thanks so much for your help! Quarrel Kukulcan
If you have modify permissions, you can set the transparency of each differently-textured portion of a prim or mesh object. However, you can't control how many parts it has or where the borders are, so if the mesh object's creature didn't lay parts out the way you need, this approach won't help you and you'll have to fall back on custom editing the texture and hoping you can make the borders and the alpha settings look good.
