Hive Mind - An Art Show

All the artist’s participating in this Second Life exhibition took into account the possibilities of emergence when executing their work. This creates a wide variety of pieces that point out the many different ways emergent behavior shapes our lives.

The Hive Mind Exhibition is an exploration into the emergent behavior of our first lives. Emergence is the idea that intricate systems can stem from fairly basic components. This has an influence on many facets of life including nature, society, and technology. A very simple example of emergence would be how water molecules come together to form massive cloud structures.

Event Info

The show will be held at Solace Island, Coords: 186. 214. 64 on Monday May 30th at 2pm EST. It will feature works from our Design and Technology class that we have developed over the course of this quarter, as well as some other works, all of which relate to the ideas ofemergence, crowdsourcing, and other similar concepts.
