An alpha layer to hide the head but not the neck?

I'm trying to create an alpha layer to hide the head but keep the neck visible and I am failing miserably. Would anyone happen to have one already or know where to get one?

This should work, more or less:

The mesh at the front of the neck is a mess and distorts in strange ways when the avatar moves his or her head, so you'll never get a straight cut at the front.

PS: Don't forget to add a completely transparent texture to the eyes.
