instant messages capped notiication, but didnt recieve any

I've recently returned to SL after being gone for 5+ yrs. Every time i log back in, even after a 10 minute break, I receive a notice that my instant messages are capped. I double checked every setting, I've read all the various knowledge material related as well as some determined google-fu, and nothing has worked. Is my account fracked? do i need to create new and start completely over.. am i just screwed? Any help at all would be great. I only know a few people in game so cant imagine how i would be capped in 10 minutes.

So i found the issue, someones 'ask for donation' item on a sim i had visited was bugged and i was receiving non stop hits. Now I just have to delete the 8214 spam messages it had sent me.
