I can't purchase anything, why?

My marketplace isn't allowing any purchases to go through and I'm not sure why. I can't buy L$ nor can I buy any items off the market.

Whenever I try to check out my cart of items or go to the Buy L$ Screen it stops loading and hangs on the "OpenID transaction in progress" screen before it reaches the next step in the process. I tested going to multiple different web browsers (firefox, chrome, IE) and even tried purchasing from my phone both on and off the wifi but this happens no matter what I use.

It's especially frustrating to me because my friend in another state can purchase items and send them to me as gifts and I can purchase items in-game, but I still can't buy anything off the marketplace. Any ideas?
