What can i do to fix a crashing problem

I am having a problem with my secondlife view crashing after it detects my hardware. It says that it having a problem with my graphics. I have done evertyhing from update my driver to reinstalling the driver. Can anyone tell what i need to do or if there is a way to get around this

i just tried the --noprobe and i got the same messge.

I am running window vista home priemium 32bit with service pack 2

my graphic card is an ati mobility radeon x1400 driver verison 7.14.10.830 which my windows says it the best update.

You could try disabling hardware checking at startup.

 

1. Create a shortcut to the SecondLife.exe executable.
2. Edit the shortcut properties
3. Add "--noprobe" in the first editable text field.
4. The parameters go at the end of the line, after the closing quotation mark, if any.

A little more infomation on what kind of graphics card you have would probably help.  Computer operating system and such would also be useful.  Not really enough information to go on at the moment.
