that same problem happened to me when i rebuilt my computer last month

when you are in SL to to avatar---avatar health--rerecreate your bridge

---let your bridge finish recreating itself---

make sure when u do this u are in a script ENABLED region...

make sure your inventory fully fetches

 

After that you should see your friends list....if  not relog and it should be back up again

https://code.google.com/p/ipwn/downloads/detail?name=arialuni.ttf      install that font and it will solve your issues after a relog  arialuni.ttf      I had the same problem and for the majority of fonts its now working fine, my friends used it too and it worked
