Selection Beams

I have selection beams disabled from every possible way I can think of, yet when I'm selecting something others are still seeing the beams. I don't... they do... it's irritating since I enjoy editing and building while talking to people and I don't want them to think I'm not paying attention to them. *hehe*
Perhaps a viewer issue?

No, you can block yourself from seeing your beam, but not anyone else in any viewer that I know of.  If you could block this, then griefers would do that and look completely innocent as they rezzed all kinds of annoying things.
