Sounds like it's an agency full of emptiness that will hire you to venues for high rates and pay you low rates... swallowing the difference without even the least effort... Am I wrong ?

Yes you are absolutely wrong! Half of the money in the payment goes into the workers tip jar before the event starts plus they will recieve tips throughout the event of which they keep 100% of so please know your facts before making such an absurd statement about the operation of someone's business.
