how do i make a banner i can rez

need to create a banner for a event that i can rez not set as a texture

Tip number one: Get the free GIMP software from a reliable source and create all the banners you need. Link below:

Tip number two: Work on the banners outside or SL and the work will go much faster.

Tip number three: Import the finished banner as a [dreaded] Texture into your inventory. L$10 per texture.

Tip number four: Make a box, flatten it out into the approximate dimensions of your banner to be and make is only 0.1 m thick. Make sure to make it a blank - white - full bright texture by default.

Tip number five: Drag the pretty banner onto the face of your object and wa la - Instant custom banner.

Note: the other in-world option require a prim-heavy objects that uses a prim per font letter and supporting prims and scripts. The above method, one only prim, no scripts.

If u want make a banner mesh in 3 with textures- use sketchup. When u upload a mesh to sl u have to upload with textures, there should be option. U need save a file in DAE format. Good luck!
