Question

Just upgraded to a premium account, and "My Mainland" lists a 512m2 bit of land. Where is that? How do I get there? Is it my land to build on? I know I can get a Linden house with my account but I want to explore the "free land" option and I'm kinda lost.

Second Life land is complicated. There is land you rent from another person (you don't need a premium account for that), mainland parcels you buy but must then cover with monthly tier, and private islands. Every premium account comes with 512 m of tier built in. Tier is the capacity to hold land, not the actual land. If you own more than 512 m of mainland, you need more tier (which you can get by paying an additional monthly fee). Linden homes are special. They use up your 512 m tier allocation, but you don't have a right to modify them or sell them or run a business from them.
