I'm on the Board of the United Content Creators of SL (UCCSL). We are concerned about the August, 2013 Second Life Terms of Service--specifically Section 2.3. As part of my work, I created a place for us on Google Drive, so the group could access the latest information on the subject.  One of the documents has links to press releases, blogs, articles and forums--Second LIfe forums, to be precise.

For the past few days these links have worked just fine. Today, however, none of the links to the Second Life forms work, even though all of the other links on the document do work. The user is directed to Second Life then given this message. "The page you are trying to access was not found. Please check your URL for typos and try again."  However, if I go back to the original document and cut and paste the message it works just fine.

Can anyone offer a plausible explanation as to why every link on this Google Drive Word document would work just fine, the cut and pasted URL works just fine, but a click on the link gives you an error message?

Just curious.

It looks to be a problem with your document.

For instance, the document shows this link - http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Merchants/Updated-LL-TOS-Claims-FULL-RIGHTS-to-ALL-CONTENT/td-p/2201477 -  but directs to http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Merchants/Updated-LL-TOS-Claims-FULL-RIGHTS-to-ALL (mousing over the link shows the same).

If I copy and paste the link, it looks like this:

http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Merchants/Updated-LL-TOS-Claims-FULL-RIGHTS-to-ALL-
CONTENT/td-p/2201477

So it looks like there's a return/linebreak after ALL-?

ETA: You say in the document that all of the other links work which is just not true. All that are on two or more lines are broken. You might want to use a URL-shortener like bit.ly.

ETA II: Yeah, some of the ones where the line is broken after http:// technically work, but... still broken if you click on http://.
