SL viewer

I currently use Firestorm to log into SL and have wanted to try the SL viewer again after some improvements have been made but for some reason it prompts me to create an account and doesn't seem to recognize my current account. tells me "second life installation complete,if this is your first time using SL then u will need to create an account".. when its very obvious I have an account already,any help would be appreciated.

Click on Continue, enter your login info and Log In.

I have clicked continue and entered my username and password and the same box pops up asking me if this is my first time create a user name and password..

Hmmm. The only thing I can think of is that it might be a bad installation. You might consider doing a complete uninstall/reinstall.
