Hello all,

It recently has come to my attention that the current bid with our out-of-SL modeler is a little pricey when compared with the talents that the mesh modelers in-SL have to offer. I am amiable to look at some new portfolios and possibly contract with someone else.

Let me say a little about the project and what the expectations are:

Overall project goal is to provide a crowd-funded library of free, open-source, mesh-based, child avatars for people who choose to play children in Second Life. The modeler we choose will be paid for each set of models seperately. The committee overseeing the project plan on paying out with RL funds in-line industry rates for professional work. As the project gains momentum and success, the selected modeler can look forward to continuous paid work on the project.  Some basic requirements are the creation of mesh models in Blender from scratch.

If you are interested in the project, please either post a link to your portfolio or send me a link to it along with any questions you may have.

Thank you and I look forward to seeing your work.

[Edited -- Rahkis, thank you for the suggestions]

I only tell you this because you posted it in the wrong forum (Should have gone to wanted or in game employment):

One of my lesser responsibilities as an IT guy is to make sure no important emails get caught up in our quarantine inbox; In doing so, I've had the pleasure of being entertained by more than my share of hilariously poor scam emails. Unfortunately for you, that's exactly how your post comes across.

One of the many marks of a scam is a lot of unnecessary verbiage (such as buzz words) desperately trying to look legitimate, but without the grammatical chops to back it up. What you get are emails (or in this case, forum posts) filled with "big" words hand-in-hand with spelling and grammatical errors -- they seem like emails written by a child with a thesaurus.

It doesn' t help that you have 1 post on the forum and yet are asking for a portfolio. It...just doesn't scream credible.

Disclaimer: I have looked up your profile and it corroborates that you've been a SL member since 2007 and do indeed deal in child avatars (that is to say, you obviously role-play a child).

Based on the evidence, I don't really believe you're trying to scam anyone. I am just letting you know that is how this thread has come across (to me). If you want to seem professional, you must edit your work or if English isn't your first language, ask someone to edit it for you. It would go a long way.

Good Luck.

Hi there. :)

I am a professional 3D artist, specializing in props and environments. I don't make avatars or clothing, but if there are any props, toys, or things of that nature, feel free to send the details my way. I can't promise I will be the cheapest option, but I take pride in the quality of my work. You won't be disappointed.

Here are some of my past projects:
