I WAS BILLED $5.OO FOR MAINLAND FEE AND I HAVE NOT OWNED MAINLAND FOR SEVERAL MONTHS

1. Be sure you have actually abandoned or sold off your land. Be sure you are not 'donating' tier to a group you have joined.

2. After one month, log into the Land Use Fees page in your dashboard and tier down. I believe this is the right page:

3. If you keep your Premium status, you can have 512 m of mainland or else a Linden house without paying any additonal monthly tier fee, beyond the regular premium account fee. Premium status includes 512 m of tier, plus also gives you access to premium only sandboxes, wilderness, and live chat.

4. If after 'tiering down' you are still being billed more than you should be, call Linden Lab Billing.
