Editing an Object Scrolled in for closer view help please

When I say build a box and am scrolled right in on that box (for making jewelry) and when I take it out of edit it scrolls all the way back to my avatar, never use to do that, it would stay on the object, how do I stop it from doing that? (hope you understand what I'm trying to say) lol, Please help if you can

• Open your viewer PREFERENCES window
• Click Move & View
• In Automatic position for Build/Edit, uncheck Build/Edit
