Could you have accidentally changed the default settings? Try to go to the advanced menu > debut settings > enable voice chat, togle between true and false, and see if this helps.

Hi Esther! If you are using the official viewer, you can access these even without login in. On the starting screen, at the top left corner, you have 3 choices: "me", "help" and "debug". Go to "debug" > "show debug settings".

When inworld, under "advanced", the "show debug settings" feature is at the bottom of the list, just before "show develop menu".
