0 valerie Inshan Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Could you have accidentally changed the default settings? Try to go to the advanced menu > debut settings > enable voice chat, togle between true and false, and see if this helps. See also the KB about voice issues. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Using-voice-chat/ta-p/700169 Voice debug settings are explained here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Voice In case you would be on a Mac running Mountain Lion and using Firestorm, this is a known issue: http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/mac_osx_10.8#voice 2
0 valerie Inshan Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Yay! Thank YOU! Would mind saying what got you fixed? Was is the debug setting feature? I'm asking that because some other residents have recently posted about the same issue and it would be very helpful to know what sorted you out...
0 Esther Lowbeam Posted February 16, 2013 Author Posted February 16, 2013 Sure, it was the debug setting feature Thanks again Esther
0 Esther Lowbeam Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013 Hello again Valerie, I have another question for you. I can't find the debug settings in the advanced menu, is there some other way of accessing it. The same issue has occurred. Thank you! Esther
0 valerie Inshan Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Hi Esther! If you are using the official viewer, you can access these even without login in. On the starting screen, at the top left corner, you have 3 choices: "me", "help" and "debug". Go to "debug" > "show debug settings". When inworld, under "advanced", the "show debug settings" feature is at the bottom of the list, just before "show develop menu".
