Speak button not working

Hello there,

Has anyone had any experience with the speak button on Second Life for a specific avatar not working. The speak button is conitnually greyed out no matter which computer i log in with.

Could you have accidentally changed the default settings? Try to go to the advanced menu > debut settings > enable voice chat, togle between true and false, and see if this helps.

Yay! Thank YOU! Would mind saying what got you fixed? Was is the debug setting feature? I'm asking that because some other residents have recently posted about the same issue and it would be very helpful to know what sorted you out...

I can't find the debug settings in the advanced menu, is there some other way of accessing it. The same issue has occurred.

Hi Esther! If you are using the official viewer, you can access these even without login in. On the starting screen, at the top left corner, you have 3 choices: "me", "help" and "debug". Go to "debug" > "show debug settings".

When inworld, under "advanced", the "show debug settings" feature is at the bottom of the list, just before "show develop menu".
