Making movies

Hi everyone,  Please excuse my ignorance but how do you go about making a movie in sl?

Do you need software to do this?

Is there something on the viewer you use?

Do you buy some sort of vid camera in sl?

I haven't a clue here so a push in the right direction would be very helpful.  Im intending to just do short vids to capture the moment, nothing has to be expertly professional as its just for me.

Hi shaun. You have to use external programs. One for filming, one for editing and one for sound. Depending on your OS (and budget), see these links for an overview of what's available. Some programs are free, so I would suggest you start with these to get started with machinima, before eventually spending on some more semi professional softwares. :smileyhappy:

As for sound, use Audacity: it's completely free and is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
