Bought an item for a friend but...

I recently bought an item for a friend who was starting out and the first time it failed to deliever no harm done i was okay with that, so i tried to buy it again. Now i didnt even get a receipt sent to my email, it charged me, and he has not gotten his item. What am I suppose to do with this and why is this happening we've tried everything and looked in every folder and it isnt anywhere to be found
