my avatar wont show its self, what do i do?

You can try to Rebake the textures for your Avatar.

   1. Choose Me > Preferences > Advanced.
   2. Select Show Advanced Menu.
   3. Choose Advanced > Rebake Textures.

Edit: Some third party viewers let you "derender" items and avatars including, I think, yourself.   If you think you may have done this by accident, the Phoenix instructions may help you regain your visibility.

always make sure that you use the primary monitor with Second Life, in case you have a dual-monitor setup.
