How do I dissolve my group?

I have changed the name of my sim and need to find out a way to change the name of my group or dissolve it.

You cannot change the name of your group nor can dissolve it by yourself. You need to eject all the members (advise them via a nice group notice so they do not take offense) until you remain the only member. After 48 hours with less than 2 people in the group, it gets automatically disbanded.

Then you can create another one (with a different name) and invite your former members to your new group.

ETA: if there are other owners than yourself, you won't be able able to eject them (owners cannot be ejected, not even by the group founder): they will have to leave the group by themselves.

Disbanding groups

While there's no explicit mechanism for simply deleting a group while it has members, you can disband a group in which you are an owner by ejecting all the other members and making sure nobody new can join the group.

After 48 hours with a membership of one or zero, a group is disbanded automatically.

Note: Once you disband a group, you cannot recreate it. You can create a new group, but the new group cannot use the exact same name as the dissolved group.

You can create the new group at any time, and send invites to the Residents in the old group.
