Hello,

I am trying to make bushes made out of "tiles" in mesh, each tile is just a flat square. The looks are wonderful but when I upload it into SL each tile counts as one prim and the PE becomes rather high. I've seen many bushes and  trees made this way but they usually count as one prim and as long as they are kept small the PE usually is somewhere around one or two, not thirty.

So ... What's the way around this, how do I import the tiles into SL as just one prim / object ?

You need to join them into a single mesh. In Blender, just select all of them in object mode and do Object->Join from the menu. Othyerwise, each object becomes a separate mesh prim. Other software will have similar functions. You might have to do some editing of the UV maps, depending on what your texturing is going to be.
