Virtual World Business Association: Marketing Coordinator

VWBA is currently looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our staff. We are looking for someone who understands Second Life and how to navigate it. The candidate must also show that they have excellent time management, research, customer service, and writing skills.  

The Marketing Coordinator will work on large promotional projects and day-to-day marketing tasks, helping to promote services, and events. We’re looking for someone who is a team player, very creative,  familiar with social media and online marketing.

Essential Duties:

• Develop and write content for all marketing and press communication
• Draft website copy, news releases and newsletter storeis
• Plan and host networking events, social events and promotional events
• Develop and manage advertising plan (Ad Placement)
• Book vendors for events and/or any marketing related activity
• Execute and support VWBA’s social networking initiatives/campaigns or Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Linkedin, YouTube, etc)
• Serve as contributor to the VWBA website (Minimum 1 article a week)
• Send notices to group weekly

Additional Responsibilites Include:

• Booking all appointments for upper management.
• Must attend bi weekly team meetings.
• Must come to one management meeting a month.
• Assist VWBA Manager with all job inquiries and hiring for VWBA.
• Duties are subject to change, candidate would be expected to step out of their element when other team members need assistance.
