Spinell
Hi everyone. My mesh adventures have been going well, as I haven't been bothering you guys so much anymore. XDBut I did want a suggestion. Sometimes, I end up building a certain detail in my mesh that requires that both faces, inside and outside, be visible in SL, mostly for texturing purposes. I have been avoiding the solify modifier, but even that doesn't quite solve the problem, since I only need another set of faces in that specific detail, not on the whole mesh.So I wanted to know what's the best and easiest way to fix the problem? Usually what I do is mae a duplicae of the selected faces and then connect the vertices to the original or fill in any necessary gaps, but I figured I'd ask for some more... professional opinions. ;)
Drongle McMahon
Just select the faces you want to solidify and do Mesh->Faces->Solidify. Adjust the thickness in that panel at the bottom of the tool shelf on the left. This will make the connecting faces too. (That's an entirely amateur suggestion, by the way).
