My friends can Im me but I can not them why

I can log on and tons of my friends show up on the website but as soon as I log in none is showing up and if one IM me they can and I can see it but if I got to answer back it shows them offline why is that? and how can i fix my account ?

they muute you probably u r blocked  bc ur friends not like u as my friends hahaha i found them evry where but they r offline to me lol

It sounds like it may just be a little glitch in the system; sometimes the true online/offline status does not show up.  Also, please know that people can be offline, but reply to IMs from their email for a day or two after they arrive in their inbox.

Edited to add:

If you had been blocked/muted, you would become unblocked/unmuted the moment that person sent you a new IM. It therefore does not look to me like you have been blocked/muted.

You weren't muted. It's entirely stupid to think that the whole entire SL muted you at the same time. I am having much the same issue as you are. It's not just friends it's also people you've never spoken to am I right? I can no longer IM either, but nor can I transport without being booted. If anyone else has found a solution to this no IM, no tp bug, I would also be very interested to know what that solution is. My only means of travel at the moment is to log off, type destination, log into it. And my only means of chat is nearby chat. When you can't speak privately, you are being robbed of one of the most important assets of the game.
