Problems with envelopes on mesh! Please help me :(

I can't edit the envelopes in the skin edit mode! Why?

 

So i purchased max slav, great plugin btw! Heres where i'm stuck at, i made a tshirt and applied a skin modifier to it. When i try to edit the envelope, the weight values seem to stay on RED or 1.0 all the time. I can't move them around and the vertex colors seem to stay the same. This is very fustrating to me since i can't edit my clothes right and they are getting deformed incorrectly with the bones.

 

I have rigged and skinned characters before using my bones i made from scratch. Never ran into this problem. 

 

*Also, skin wrap seems to help my clothes fit on the avatar right, but i would still love control over the envelopes!
